Whether you are a professional athlete, an inspirational public speaker, an entrepreneur or a mom, the ONLY way to be perform at your best is to know how to restore a sense of calm to your body and mind when you get triggered.

When you learn this skill you can have 100% of your energy available to you.  You see, when you are feeling stressed out, confused, overwhelmed, sad, frustrated, or angry, all of your resources are going toward solving that problem. That means that there’s nothing left over for accessing your humor, passion, creativity, logic, and compassion and definitely nothing left in the tank to repair and rebuild your precious body!

So many things are thrown at you all day long that trigger a stress (sympathetic nervous system) response.  When you react from a stress state, you often regret your actions. This is partially because you do NOT have access to your creativity, compassion, or logic in this state.  This primitive system was designed to keep animals safe from predators.  This system is virtually useless in humans.

I am so passionate about teaching people how to regulate their nervous system that I recorded a brand new meditation that will support you in doing exactly that! This meditation is designed to be a QUICK reset that will bring you back to the present moment.  You see, when you are feeling any type of non-preferred emotion, that is your mind’s way to try to get you to take an action.  The problem is, 99% of the time it wants you to take an action to not get hurt sometime in the past.  

Let me explain.  The subconscious mind only thinks in the present tense.  That’s why when you remember an event that happened a long time ago you can still feel the emotions and bodily sensations as if it were happening right now.  Because your mind believes that it is.

Your mind only wants to protect you. And since it believes these difficult or disturbing events are happening NOW every time you think about them, it produces disturbing emotions that are designed to get you to do something to avoid the painful situation in the past.  SInce the event is over with, what is there to do right now?  Since these events are over- there’s no predator to run or hide from or attacker to fight, all of this extra energy that has prepared you to run, hide, or fight does not get used up by taking those actions.  As humans, we learn over time to fear these sensations in the body which leads to anxiety, or to repress them which leads to depression.

Imagine being triggered and instead of reacting, simply taking 5 minutes for yourself, popping in this quick meditation, and coming out REGULATED.  In this state you can actually RESPOND to the situation in a way that feels good while responding (or not responding) and feels even better afterward.  

Once you repeat this meditation enough times, you are building new circuitry in the brain that will enable you to reset quicker and quicker without having to listen to it.  You will have installed new hardware in the brain that will allow you to regulate your nervous system on your own. It will become natural and easy.
